Sara M. Norrevik is a PhD Student in Political Science at the University at Buffalo and a Fulbright Grantee from Sweden. Her research interests cover Comparative Politics (political institutions and international political economy), with a focus on European politics and American politics.
Prior to pursuing PhD studies, Sara worked at the Swedish Government as Political Advisor at the Ministry for Defense (2012-14), where she was involved in drafting legislation, speech-writing and preparing policy briefings. She has also been a fellow at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI, 2012), a trainee for the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels (2010-11) and an intern at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2009). She is currently a fellow at the Stockholm-based think tank Frivärld, Stockholm Free World Forum, and a contributor to a major Swedish newspaper's online blog (SvD Säkerhetsrådet).
Sara is the recipient of the European Community Studies Association - Canada Best Paper Award submitted by a junior scholar in the 12th Biennial ECSA-C Conference, Toronto, May 2018 for her paper entitled, "Trust Matters: Support for Comprehensive Trade Agreements in the European Parliament."
