Ms. Sharon Rochelle teaches PAD 643 Supervision in the Human Services.
Sharon is currently First Deputy Commissioner - Family Well-Being in Erie County, Department of Social Services. In this position, Sharon serves as chief administatrator, assistant to the DSS Commissioner in overseeing all phases of the Child Protective Services, Adult Protective Services, Preventive Services, Foster Care, Home Finding, and Domestic Violence by planning, directing, and coordinating the work of all levels of staff. Prior to her current position with Erie County, Sharon was Director of Family Services at Pinnacle Charter School (2008-2013). Sharon has also been a Children and Family Specialist I at New York State Office of Children and Family Services, a preventive case worker in Keshequa Central School, and a child protective caseworker in Livingston County.
Sharon holds the MPA from SUNY Buffalo State, an MS in Community Health from Canisius College, and a BS with a dual major in Health Sciences and Psychology from SUNY Brockport.
Sharon is the recipient of several awards, including the Henry Osinksi Community Service Award-Catholic Charities, Locating Absent Parents - Program Award from the NYS Office fo Children and Family Services, and Outstanding MPA Project, SUNY Buffalo State. She is a member of the Public Administration Honor Society Pi Alpha Alpha.
