Atta A. Ceesay, PhD

Atta A. Ceesay is a scholar and academic leader. As Associate Dean at SUNY Buffalo State University, she oversees academic standards and student success initiatives. Prior to this role, she chaired the Political Science, Public Administration, and Planning department and directed the MPA program. Her research explores critical issues in comparative and development public administration, non-profit management, governance, and accountability, with a particular focus on Africa.

Ceesay is a dedicated member of several professional organizations, including AWPA, SICA, and SAPA. She serves on NASPAA committees and has been recognized with prestigious awards for her exceptional teaching and leadership contributions.
